Service – Tarvin Marine

Welcome to the Maintenance & Repair Department. We specialize in Outboard motor repair & service of most major brands. Our technicians are trained in Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, Mercury, Evinrude, Johnson, and Tohatsu. We work on Outboards that are 1990 and newer. Unfortunately, the older motors are more difficult to work on and even harder to get parts.

We work on other brands and some older engines on a case by case basis. We do repairs on a first come first served basis but will make every effort to perform repairs based on your timetable. Please fill out the service request form below or call us to discuss your problem at (513) 570-4201.

Rigging

We offer full service – top to bottom rigging for new boats and repowers. Our team will help you design your boat to your specific needs. We will specify and order all of the materials and install them to our high standards. We sell and install:

GPS systems, trolling motors, bottom sounder/ fish finders, accessory and navigational lighting, search lights, VHF radio equipment, fire extinguishers and emergency equipment.

Winterization

We offer winterization services for outboards and sterndrives. CALL US BEFORE YOU BRING IN YOUR BOAT.

Average early freeze date for Cincinnati is October 20th. We recommend winterizing your boat with time to spare – When we have an early freeze there is a big rush for everyone to winterize at once, and we can only do so many. Winterization is not a process that should be rushed or taken lightly. Skipping a system or drain could be a very costly mistake. We take our time to make 100% sure that the vessels we winterize are prepared for deep cold and long term storage. This allows for a worry free spring and peace of mind through the winter because your investment is protected.

Emergency Equipment

Tarvin Marine services emergency marine equipment for local police and fire departments. Paul Tarvin worked on many of these vessels during his 8 years(2015-2023) at Allcraft Marine. We offer high priority service as well as the knowledge and skills unique to emergency equipment setup, operation and maintenance. We have worked with local fire departments and law enforcement agencies to outfit and rig boats to rigorous emergency equipment expectations. We are familiar with most systems and we understand the necessity of performance when an emergency is present. We pride ourselves in clean, no nonsense rigging that is ready to 100 mph or open seas.
